Katie graduated from UQ in 2008. She spent a few years in general practice before completing a rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists in 2013.

In 2014, she moved to the US and completed her ECC residency at Auburn University, Alabama in 2017. She was awarded Diplomate status by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, as well as a Master of Science degree from Auburn University, in 2017. 

After several years in the US in private specialty practice, Katie is happy to be back in South East Queensland. She has special interests in thromboembolic disease, disorders of fibrinolysis, polytrauma, mechanical ventilation and post-arrest care.
