Emma is a 2014 graduate of the University of Queensland, and is excited to return ‘home’ to UQ after practising regionally with all manner of small animals.

Emma loves all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, and has a particular soft spot for the more unusual patients and the people who call them family, as well as for the treatment of native wildlife.

At home Emma has her own menagerie- a Dalmatian, cats, birds, Guinea pigs, invertebrates and chickens- all typical vet’s pets boasting most of the usual number of limbs, eyes and colourful medical histories!

Emma has a particular fascination with the human-animal bond and feels her own diverse experiences as an animal owner, as well as her varied veterinary work, have given her a unique perspective on this connection and the many different ways it can form with companion animals of all species.
