Dr Shannon Ames

Shannon graduated from the University of Queensland in 2021. She has spent her time since graduation in community-based clinics and shelter medicine and is passionate about access to care programs. She has joined the UQ Vets team in 2025. 

Outside of vetting, Shannon has her hands full with four cats, five chickens and two children. She has a soft spot for brachycephalic animals, particularly Persians.
