Dr Gaby Umanzor

Gaby is a new graduate veterinarian from the UQ BVSc2025 (Hons) cohort and is excited to return to UQ VETS as a practicing clinician and student mentor. With a racecar brain, she is enjoying spending her time rotating through departments in her internship.
 
The time she has spent in clinical practice has fostered her interests in anaesthesia, pain management, feline, and exotic medicine. However, her fundamental passion lies in advocating for human-animal bond and providing animals (and their humans) with the care and compassion they deserve.
 
Outside of work, Gaby enjoys life at home with her four cats and human family. If she's not reading a random Wikipedia page, she's crafting or practicing music with her partner.
