Kiara graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Veterinary Technology in 2016. Kiara knew that she wanted to work with animals from a young age.  She volunteered at her local RSPCA to gain experience in general practice and continued that throughout her degree.

In 2016, she undertook an internship at Animal Emergency Services where she realised her passion for emergency and critical care. In 2017, she worked at the University of Queensland as a Junior Veterinary Nurse where she cared for patients from all aspects of our specialist veterinary services.

Kiara is now part of our Intensive Care Unit nursing team at the UQ VETS Small Animal Hospital where she enjoys the varied case load and providing gold standard nursing to our critical patients.
