We're here when your pet needs us most

We’ll examine and admit your pet

On arrival, we’ll triage your pet to assess their condition - we see critical patients first.

  • We’ll see you immediately if your pet is critically ill.
  • If your pet is stable, one of our vets will attend to you as soon as triage allows.
  • Emergency staff will examine your pet and recommend treatments and diagnostics.
  • If your pet needs to be admitted to our intensive care unit, we will provide you with a cost estimate.
  • We can also help you make a claim if you have pet insurance.

Emergency and critical care

Our highly trained vets and nurses offer 24-hour emergency and critical care Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Weekday primary care appointments are available Monday to Friday for routine care.

Although we are not open for weekday after-hour emergencies, a team will remain on site 24 hours dedicated to providing ongoing care for currently hospitalised patients

Our team use the latest advancements in diagnostics and treatments. They work closely with colleagues from other specialist services within the UQ VETS Small Animal Hospital to ensure your pet receives the very best care.
