Join our exceptional team and advance your career with a UQ VETS internship, residency or job.
Increase your general practice knowledge and skills or prepare for future specialist training with a UQ VETS Small Animal Hospital internship.
Our 12-month internship program will involve you in the management of primary care, emergency, referral medicine, surgery, and avian and exotic cases and develop your skills and knowledge in small animal anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging.
You'll work alongside our team of collegial specialists and experienced clinicians to provide high-quality relationship-centred care to our small animal, avian, exotic and wildlife patients.
What you’ll learn
With guidance and supervision from senior staff, you’ll provide high-quality, relationship-centred care to small animal, avian, exotic and wildlife patients.
You’ll participate in regular rounds, journal club meetings and tutorial sessions, and be supported and encouraged to produce publications or present at ANZCVS Science Week during your internship.
You will also be involved in teaching UQ undergraduate veterinary science students during their clinical rotations.
Our internships usually start each January and suit new or recent graduate veterinarians.
Domestic and international applicants are welcome to apply.
